You wouldn’t send a train racing ahead without tracks. Why build your business that way?

BUILT TO CHARGE • LESSON 5
Systems and Process From Day One

More customers bring more work. Without a repeatable process, growth can mean missed deadlines, confused employees, and a founder who has to touch everything.

Lay the tracks before the train picks up speed.

Start with the path your first customer follows:

• Inquiry: Who responds, and how quickly?
• Agreement: What exactly have you promised?
• Delivery: Who owns the work, and what does “done” mean?
• Payment: How do you invoice and follow up?

You don’t need a giant operations manual to begin. Choose one task you repeat. Write down the steps, assign an owner, and define the finish standard.

Then use that checklist on the next real job. Fix the gaps before you automate.

Your business needs a way to deliver consistently as demand grows.

Where does your business keep going off the rails?
